I'm a Computer Science Ph.D. student at the University of California, Davis, advised by Iman Soltani at LARA. Prior to UC Davis, I received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University in South Korea. I'm currently having a great time as a research intern at Research North America, working on agentic robotics.

My research aims to enable human-like behaviors in robots by bridging learning and physical design. I focus on integrating human-inspired priors into the learning process and designing robotic systems that incorporate aspects of human sensorimotor capabilities, such as active vision, to enhance the synergy between perception, action, and embodiment.

More recently, I've been exploring agentic robotics: robots that reason about a task, break it into steps, and pick the right tool for each one, whether a learned policy or good old-fashioned engineering like a motion planner, then check and refine their own behavior.
